Meagan Williams grew up in Pelham, AL surrounded by most of her extended family. From early on, she developed a love of being outside and exploring nature. Through attending a Methodist summer camp every year, Meagan’s earliest spiritual development was fostered alongside her love of nature and community.
Meagan moved to Boone, NC to attend Appalachian State University where she studied Sustainable Development and was involved with her college’s Wesley Foundation. After graduating undergrad, Meagan completed an AmeriCorps service year at a non-profit serving the unhoused community in Birmingham, AL. In 2020, she moved to Atlanta to attend Candler School of Theology where she graduated with her MDiv in May 2023. She has served as a pastoral intern at Urban Recipe, Atlanta GA, Haywood Street Congregation, Asheville NC, and as the assistant director of young adult ministry at Saint Mark UMC, Atlanta GA.
Meagan serves with Kirkwood’s children’s ministry teaching the K-2nd graders. She is passionate about creating spaces for the flourishing of community, spiritual development, and fun. Meagan enjoys gardening, crafting, taking care of her pup Sophie, and visiting Asheville.
