“Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord”

Worship music at Kirkwood UCC takes a variety of forms, from childhood favorites and traditional hymns to “rock star” songs that bring out the performer in everyone. After all, our congregation represents a diversity of religious traditions, so we try to reflect that in our music.

Our Music Minister, David King, is always open to new ideas and welcoming new members to our music ensembles. Contact him at [email protected] with any questions or for more information.

Listen and Sing Along!

If you’ve never been to worship at KUCC and want to get an idea of the wide variety of music we feature, you’re in luck! We’ve provided two playlists: our “Sunday Worship Mix” includes contemporary favorites like Hold Us Together and 10,000 Reasons, good old Southern gospel songs like I’ll Fly Away and Blessed Assurance, traditional hymns such as Come Thou Fount of Every Blessing and Amazing Grace, plus even some Cyndi Lauper (Time After Time) and Bob Dylan’s (or Guns ‘n Roses if you prefer) Knockin’ On Heaven’s Door.

The other playlist includes some of Susannah’s favorites: Glory Bound by the Wailin’ Jennys, Hey Kind Friend from the Indigo Girls, Grace that is Greater by Building 429, and more. Give them a play and enjoy!
