Welcome to KUCC--we're glad you're here. As we want to be faithful to COVID-19 protocols put in place for everyone's safety, we recognize the space between us. We pray that through our KUCC morning prayer time, zoom gatherings and hybrid worship, that the space between us will decrease and sincere connections will be made. We lovingly invite you to join us for any or all of the following gatherings. Everyone-Everyone-Everyone is WELCOME. YOU are in OUR Prayers!

Let’s Stock the Free Fridges with Period Products!!June 21, 2022 the Atlanta Journal-Constitution ran an article on the shortage of tampons and all Period Products. In addition, prices are rising due to inflation and a current scarcity of materials that are used to make these products.
Individuals are juggling their ability to work and feed their families. No period products means no work. At our last Economic Justice Meeting, we discussed this need and agreed to ask our KUCC Family to help if they can! Let’s push to help others. Bring period products to Church this summer. Let’s reduce the pain of those trying to work. Let’s help students who could get some products during school but are left without these resources during Summer Vacation. When Bill Fyock and I (Carol) go to donate at the Free Fridges, there is always a woman there who scoops up some period products as we place them in the pantry. Let’s help our Siblings this Summer by helping with Period Products. Let’s stock the Free Fridges!! You can drop off donations any time on the front porch of the ChurchHouse. |

Grace In Action: Gratitude & Giving 2022 Over the next several weeks, we’ll reflect together on how God generously puts grace into action, from homemaking to celebrating to bridge-building acts of mercy – and how we, children of God created in the image of God, can do the same.
Let’s start at the beginning. According to the Bible’s opening story, God is a creator, organizer, decorator, feeder, teacher, gardener, and builder of this world we call home. And because we have been created in God’s image and belong to the family of faith, we too share in these gifts, in abundant ways! Because of your giving, we are able to be gardeners and feeders for our local community through our food pantry, free fridge partnership with Turner Monumental and our Food with Friends fellowship time. Through contributions to Our Church’s Wider Mission, the Presbyterian Student Center in Athens, and our partners on Roger’s Street, we’ve been creators and builders. We are able to staff our teachers who care for, build relationships with and share the love of Jesus with our children and youth ministries. Your gifts allow our organizers to be the hands and feet of Christ in gathering backpacks for Toomer Elementary and getting resources to our Afghan Refugee partners. God graciously made the cosmos, and we’re called to act in God’s image by making KUCC into a microcosm within that larger one, a place where everyone everyone everyone can feel at home. If you’ve found a home here, or have been moved by one of the ministries just mentioned, we hope you’ll help make sure our little microcosm stays as graceful and active as possible. |
