Lent and EasterThe Lenten season begins with Ash Wednesday as we remember, "From dust you are to dust you shall return." As Lent begins we move with Jesus along the way, from wilderness to Holy Week, through scripture, spiritual practices, devotional sharing and worship. We gather to remember on Maundy Thursday and mourn on Good Friday. On Easter Sunday morning we rise early to worship and celebrate the Resurrection. "For Christ is Risen-Christ is Risen Indeed!"

Blessing of the BackpacksWhen back-to-school time comes around each August, we gather all our students for a back-to-school Blessing of the Backpacks during our worship service. This event also happens in conjunction with our annual effort to provide backpacks and school supplies for our neighbors in need.

Blessing of the AnimalsYes, even the furrier members of your household have a place in God’s creation! Dogs, cats, bunnies, snakes, birds — whatever form your special friend takes, bring them to the annual KUCC Blessing of the Animals for some pet-focused prayers and a chance to meet and greet new friends. We host this special service in Kirkwood each September.
